ART GALLERY M

A place where artists and art lovers meet.

ABOUT THE GALLERY

A historical building, with a contemporary function.

Gallery M is situated in the very centre of Mechelen next to the small beguinage and the Katherina church. The gallery’s 17th century housing is in the backyard of a fully restored 19th century property in a street where once the ancestors of Ludwig von Beethoven used to live. The separate income to the gallery is via ‘het Kerkstraatje’, a picturesque one of a few direct access foot-paths to the Katherina church. Art lovers will find contemporary paintings, glass art, sculptures and etchings, all of them in perfect symbiosis with ethnical art objects from Africa, Asia and the Americas.
